This guide explains how to create a new room using Space CE through the Innomesh Room Manager interface.
Initial Steps
- Navigate to the Innomesh home page and click Add New Room.
- Select a Space CE template, identified by a cloud icon next to the template name.
- Click Next to proceed.
- Select the Zone where you want to set up your room. Rooms can be moved between zones after creation. Best practice is to start in a testing zone before moving to production.
- Click Next to continue.
Properties Section
Fill in the following required fields.
- Room Name: The display name for your room.
- Room Repository Name: The internal identifier for the room.
- Room Author: Information about the creator.
Check In Maintenance while building the room to suppress alerts in the Hotlist. Uncheck this setting when the room is commissioned and ready for use.
Devices Section
Native Devices
Crestron Native devices are pre-populated from the template with IPIDs. Edit, duplicate, or delete devices by hovering over them and clicking the appropriate icons. For devices inherited from the template, prefer disabling them rather than deleting them to avoid unforeseen issues.
IP Devices
Click Click to Populate to add IP device hostnames or IP addresses. Duplicate, edit, or delete devices using the icons on the right of each entry. Use the Disable checkbox for inherited devices instead of deleting them.
Options Dropdown Menu
Access advanced features via the options menu in the top right corner of the room configuration window.
- Download as JSON: Export room settings as a .json file.
- Copy Device IDs: Copy specific device identifiers to the clipboard.
- Show All Options: Display extended configuration options. Note that enabling this prevents future template updates from applying automatically.
- Update XPanel Settings: Configure XPanels. Only appears in the Options menu if at least one XPanel is active for the room.
- Update Remote Web Panels: Manage remote web panel entries.
- Update User Group: Assign user groups to the room.
- Update VNC Settings: Configure VNC interface access for touch panels.
- Upgrade Pulse to Sight: Unlocks advanced query capabilities through additional user prompts. When selected, two sub-options become available:
- Remove Sight: Cancels the upgrade and reverts to the original Pulse configuration.
- Set Sight Speed Tier: Increases the frequency at which Sight sends queries for faster performance and responsiveness.
- Load Room from File: Import a room configuration from a JSON file.
Deploying the Room
Once all necessary information has been entered, click the Deploy button to create the room.
