Every Space CE system template is deployed against a specific software version. These versions change as new features and bug fixes are implemented. This guide explains how to update the software version on an existing Space CE template.
Step 1: Open the Template
Navigate to the Templates page, hover over the template you wish to update, and click the pencil icon to open the template editor.
Step 2: Locate the Software Version
The current software version is displayed in the top-left corner of the template editor window. Click the arrow icon to the right of the version number to open the version selection panel.
Step 3: Check for Available Updates
A bell symbol appears next to the software version when new versions are available. Click the bell symbol to view the available updates.
Step 4: Select the New Version
A dropdown menu will appear listing all available software versions. Select the desired version from the list.
Step 5: Confirm the Update
Click the Change button to apply the new software version to the template.
Since Space CE templates are less tightly coupled to their rooms than Space VC templates, this change applies only to the template itself. Existing rooms will continue running their current software version. New rooms created from this template will use the updated version.
