The Room Occupancy dashboard displays occupancy trends over time for rooms equipped with occupancy sensors. Use it to understand how rooms are being used, identify underutilised spaces, and support space planning decisions. This feature was introduced in Innomesh v3.2.0.
Prerequisites
- One or more rooms with occupancy sensors connected to Innomesh (e.g., via Sight or Space CE drivers that report occupancy data)
- Occupancy data must be actively collected. Rooms without sensors will not appear in this view.
Viewing Occupancy Data
- Navigate to Rooms in Innomesh Portal.
- Select a room that has occupancy sensor data.
- Open the Occupancy panel in the Room Support View.

The dashboard displays:
- Occupancy trend graph: A line or bar chart showing occupancy levels over a selectable time period
- Peak occupancy: The highest occupancy recorded in the selected period
- Average occupancy: The mean occupancy level across the period
- Current status: Whether the room is currently occupied or vacant
Hiding Occupancy Indicators
For rooms where occupancy detection is not supported or not desired, the occupancy indicator can be hidden to keep the interface clean. This option was added in Innomesh v3.5.2.
To hide occupancy indicators for a room, configure the room in Room Manager and disable the Show Occupancy option.
Integration with Room State Mapping
Occupancy data can be combined with Room State Mapping to derive higher-level room states. For example, you can map “occupancy detected + display on” to a “Room In Use” state, and “no occupancy + display off” to a “Room Vacant” state.
